Sometimes it feels difficult working towards goals when there’s a lot of things that need done everyday. You know all those necessary daily tasks to keep life running as smoothly as possible. Laundry, dishes, paying bills, eating right, etc. It’s easy to feel behind and always trying to catch up with everything that needs done. If you’re anything like me, sometimes I feel like my list is just too long and I’m too behind, so I just ignore the to-dos completely. This might be ok for a day or two, but eventually catches up to you. You go in the cupboard to get a glass…shoot no clean glasses. I’m sure you’ve been there.
One thing that really helps me keep up with this endless list of to-dos is using task managing apps and an online calendar. There are tons of options out there, you have to figure out which one is right for you. That’s a task in itself! I set up recurring to-dos with reminders to take care of everything that needs done. This way I get an automatic to-do list each day that I feel is manageable and I get to check it off once it’s done. Keeping up with things this way helps keep all to to-dos manageable in small chunks so you don’t get to the point where you’re just ignoring things and hoping they go away. Spending 15 minutes everyday is so much more pleasant than letting everything build up to the point where you have hours of daunting to-dos looming over you. And you’ll never run out of clean glasses or underwear! What could be better?
